Alligiance Flag Supply in South Carolina

When Max Berry, Wes, Lyon and Katie Lyonpurchased their homes, they searched for a high-quality American flag to fly.  But they all soon encountered the exact same problem; finding a high-quality American flag that was made in the USA. Purchases from Amazon and big box stores resulted in flags that quickly deteriorated, wrapped around their flagpole, and were often made overseas. If the flags they bought were made domestically, they were often mass-produced with low quality materials. After an exhaustive search for a flag worthy of our country’s colors, everything came up short. Frustrated, they decided to take matters into their own hands, launching Allegiance Flag Supply in Charleston, SC in 2018.

Their mission was to scour the country to find the highest quality materials, sewing processes and accessories made in America. The founders spent two years researching and developing the perfect way to sew the American flag. Allegiance now employs dozens of seamstresses, many of whom saw their jobs disappear as American textile manufacturing moved overseas. Max, Wes, and Katie are proud to contribute to a resurgence in American textile manufacturing.

They're a fun-loving bunch who love their country. And their friends and colleagues will tell you that’s exactly who they are. But making the American flag is serious business and a task they don’t take lightly. Every stitch. Every hem. Every thread. They’re all the most important part because they make up the whole.

Folds of Honor - MEETING SACRIFICE WITH HOPE SINCE 2007.

It began with Lt Col Dan Rooney’s flight home from his second tour of duty in Iraq. An F-16 fighter pilot in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, he became painfully aware of the realities families face when a loved one in uniform is fallen or disabled.

As his flight landed, the pilot announced they carried the remains of Corporal Brock Bucklin on board. Lt Col Rooney watched as Corporal Bucklin’s twin brother walked somberly alongside the flag-covered casket to meet his family on the tarmac. Among them was the deceased Corporal’s young son, Jacob.

Since that night, Lt Col Rooney has committed his life to rallying patriotic Americans and meeting sacrifice with hope through the Folds of Honor. Since 2007, we’ve provided life-changing scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled military. And now, our mission expands to the families of America’s first responders. On our watch, those who protect our freedoms and our families will know they are not forgotten.
